Three of our colleagues won NKKP Advanced grants



Three of our colleagues received 4-year funding from the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH) within the frame of the National Research Excelence Program (NKKP) in the ADVANCED_25 category. Dániel Bachrathy was granted for the project titled ENSURE: Efficient Numerical Solver for Universal Real-Time Evaluation of Stability and Periodic Motion, Gábor Csernák for the project Determination of contact parameters for the prediction and design of damping properties of engineering structures and Dénes Takács for the project Constructing a hardware-in-the-loop experiment to explore the interaction between micromobility vehicles and human balancing. Congratulations!

Denes Takacs awarded the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit

Our colleague, Denes Takacs has been awarded the Hungarian Golden Cross of Merit in recognition of his results in theoretical and experimental investigations of rolling problems and his outstanding educational activities. Congratulations!

Henrik Sykora received Bolyai János Research Scholarship

Our colleague, Dr. Henrik Sykora has been awarded the MTA Bolyai János Research Scholarship with his proposal titled Physics-informed data-driven modelling of stochastic dynamical systems with delays. Congratulations on this prestigious award, and we wish him good luck for the next 3 years of research!

Outstanding Results at the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference
Students from our department achieved excellent results at the 2025 National Scientific Students' Associations Conference. Projects supervised by our faculty received a total of four first prizes and four second prizes.
First prize recipients:

Our colleague Hanna Zsófia Horváth won
the 4th
Tamás Roska Scientific Lecture competition. The Tamás Roska
Scientific Lecture is open to candidates who have achieved outstanding
results in their research, and who have presented their achievements in the
form of scientific publications and lectures. The plenary lecture will be
held in the framework of the Technical Sciences Section of the 37th OTDK.
Hanna's supervisor for Student's Scientific Conferences and doctoral studies
is Dénes Takács.

Zoltán Dombóvári is again MTA Lendület winner!

Zoltán Dombóvári received support from MTA to establish an advanced Lendület research group with his proposal titled "Impulse-based theory to release data-oriented nonlinear description for machining processes". With this support his current Lendület group can continue the work for further 5 years. This year 21 new Lendület research group is established, for details see the website of MTA.
